So that we can continue our discussion on January 23, please come prepared with information on the form you can download below (planning form and district overview). We will use this information for your internal planning and to build our common goals that will allow flexibility for building specific goals/implementation plans.
Some Background Info as you work on your planning:
District Instruction/Information Services
Vision - "Information technologies will be used to stimulate the exchange and creation of knowledge. Information will exist in an integrated environment that fosters an open, collaborative, educational culture."
Mission - "Information technologies will be reliable, contemporary, and integrated to enable learning, teaching, administration, and communication."
I encourage you to use the Online Discussions section of this wiki or create your own page (contact Joe Olinger for how if you aren't sure) to create a space for your building to discuss your goals/ideas for technology usage. District Overview of Instruction/Information Technology Services – Vicki Lyons (5 minutes)
Windows-Based Digital Media Tools (Adobe and Lenovo Representatives) (45 minutes)
Macintosh-Based Digital Media Tools (Apple Representative) (45 minutes)
Sharing of current (basic) building plans/thinking (support student learning – what will kids know and be able to do, what is needed, how many, where located, what it will do). This is NOT a final plan, only ideas based on information to date.
February/March/April - ongoing
DoIT staff works with building principals (and building staff as they determine) to design equitable purchase plan and implementation plan. Final installation will be determined during the planning process.
